How should I prepare for my spray tan?

-Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate!  A good rule of thumb is to exfoliate your skin in the shower for two days prior to
receiving your spray tan. You can use an oil free scrub or loofah - or even better, both!  Pay particular attention to
dryer areas such as the knees, elbows, hands and feet.  The better your exfoliation, the more beautifully even your
  tan will look and last.
-Make sure that your skin is free of any lotions, creams, deodorant, or makeup at the time of your appointment.  This
is very important for the tanning solution to penetrate evenly.
-Shave or wax at least 24 hours before your appointment.
-Wear a dark bathing suit to your spray tan appointment (or you can tan "all natural.")  Bring darker, loose clothing to
  wear after your tan.

How do I care for my spray tan after my appointment?

-Do not shower or sweat (or play in the rain) for a minimum of six hours after your spray tan is applied.
-Don't exfoliate or scrub your skin when in the shower.  Let it naturally exfoliate.
-Moisturize the entire body twice a day for the first five days.  Using tan extending lotion will also extend the length of   your tan.
-The use of hot tubs, jacuzzis, and pools will cause your tan to fade more quickly.  Prior to swimming, apply a
waterproof sunscreen lotion, and this will minimize the fading effects of swimming.
-Remember to continue to use sunscreen -- a spray tan will not protect you from over-exposure  to UV rays.
